Anthem Analysis Assignment Sheet
This analysis report should be 2 double-spaced pages (this means to the bottom of the second page not the top of the second page) in 12 point font with 1″ margins on all sides.
Your assignment should be to analyze Anthem. You may bring in material from the class discussion and the reading of the book and graphic novel. You should not consult any outside sources beyond that.
You should write in the third person. You will be providing your own analysis of the story. You may use of the following prompts when writing or your own:
- What are the main themes of the novel?
- Discuss the totalitarian society. Think about why in many real and fictionalized totalitarian societies, children live apart from their parents. Why is this the case?
- Think about morality in terms of the society. How does Equality;s morality differ from the society he lives in.
