Argumentative Essay

Write an argumentative essay on the following topic:

“Assume for the purposes of this paper that God exists. Evaluate the following argument: If God is morally perfect, then he does not wrongfully invade the privacy of others. If God is omniscient, then He knows our most private thoughts, which is wrongful invasion of privacy. Thus, God is not both morally perfect and omniscient. But moral perfection and omniscience are both absolute perfections. Therefore, God is not a perfect being.”

Your thesis will be either (i) that the argument is sound or (ii) that the argument is unsound. If you choose to defend the argument, make sure you state and attempt to refute objections to it (the stronger the objections you refute, the better). If you choose to attack the argument, make sure you first explain why someone might think it is a a good argument (the stronger the reasons you state in support of the argument, the better) and then explain why you disagree.

The paper should be a thought essay rather than a research paper. In other words, the goal is not to search for writings outside of the materials provided.

DO NOT USE MORE THAN 1-2 OUTSIDE SOURCES. USE AND CITE THE MATERIALS PROVIDED.
