Ancient India incorporated an elaborate caste system that defined social relations within society. At the bottom of the caste system were the “Untouchables”, a group of people who did important, yet despised, jobs and were treated as if they didn’t even exist. Do you believe that this way of thinking is something in the past, or do we have “Untouchables” in our society today? Please explain why or why not?
