  • IMPORTANT: Pay attention to the highlighting color I used to mark errors in your paper — each color represents a different type of error.
    • Errors marked include:

      • Verb Errors (red)
        • S-V agreement in #
          • sometimes the subject is marked in the verb highlighting color instead of the verb because sometimes it is easier to fix an agreement problem by changing the # of the subject rather than the verb
        • verb time
        • verb voice
        • verbal forms

      • NP Errors (blue)
        • Mistake in form of word(s) in one of the ‘4 slots’
          • e.g. missing determiner for a common noun
      • Forwarding/APA Citation Errors (grey)
  • Turn on “Track Changes.”(In your Word document, click on “Review” at the top and then click “Track Changes.”)

  • Correct each error.

  • For two errors, identify the kind of error, and explain how to find and avoid this kind of error in the future. Your explanation should be
    • in your own words as much as possible
    • clear enough for your parents to understand it
    • written in a comment “box”
    • include a citation for a reference you used to help understand the problem/write your explanation
      • preferred reference = our class textbook
        • please cite the author last names with the date of publication, the section label & page number(s) –> e.g. (Hacker & Sommers, 2009, APA4a, pp 413-415)
        • if you cannot find the information you need in our class textbook, you may include a complete URL for a specific web page that you used
