explain your beliefs about why humans are either attracted to or avoid cruelty towards others.

In a famous psychological study on roles, Stanford psychologist Philip Zimbardo constructed an experiment to determine the origin of prison brutality. In a real life situation, a similar situation was played out at the Abu Ghraib prison in Baghdad, Iraq. Both of these situations demonstrated man’s propensity for cruelty towards his fellow man or avoidance of that cruelty. Outside the prison environment, these same propensities seem to exist.

Applying social beliefs and judgments and behavior and attitudes, explain your beliefs about why humans are either attracted to or avoid cruelty towards others.

Explain your reasoning and provided at least two examples supporting your position.
