I have a English essay that you have to comparative rhetorical analysis.

For this first major essay, you will be doing a comparative rhetorical analysis of Mary Maxfield’s “Food as Thought: Resisting the Moralization of Eating” and Jonathan Safran Foer’s “Let Them Eat Dog: A Modest Proposal for Throwing Fido in the Oven.” Your essay should be 3-5 pages long, in MLA format and style, with a Works Cited page (does not count as one of the 3-5 pages). You are writing to an educated audience who has not read either article, but is probably aware of the conversations surrounding diet and health in our culture. You will want to make them interested in these two arguments as you “lift the hood” to show your readers what the authors are doing.
