Learning and memory

Although we use the words “learning” and “memory” in everyday speech, it can be instructive to start this unit by differentiate between the two. Both seem to involve the encoding, storage, and retrieval of information from our experiences. But how are they different? For this Forum define the two terms in your own words, making sure to indicate the similarities and differences of these two terms.
