“Something that’s only metaphorically alive can never be literally dead.”

Hello all. I have your next writing assignment ready to go. This will count as part of your small grade, and is a pretty simple prompt. It comes from one sentence that Klosterman writes from But What if We’re Wrong, and this sentence basically sums up the entirety of his book, and of all of his books really, his brain too. He writes:

“Something that’s only metaphorically alive can never be literally dead.”

The prompt is this:

What does that mean?

2 page double-spaced paper, Times New Roman, 12 pt font, 1″ margins all around. Be as creative and SPECIFIC as possible. Use examples, use examples, use examples and DETAILS!

These will be due by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, November 25. No late papers accepted. Then, on to finals!
