After viewing the TED talk linked above, you will develop a summary response essay. This assignment is completed in two stages. First, you will provide a summary (summary paragraph) of the talk, and secondly, you will reflect on the position offered by the speaker. Do you agree/disagree with the speaker’s premise? Does your experience support the speaker’s position? Did the talk surprise, anger you? Did it change your viewpoint on the topic? Your essay must offer something of value (inform, entertain) to your audience. Use the sample essay linked here to help with format or use any of the resources in the course folders. Essay assignments must be stapled and formatted in Times New Roman 12-point font and contain the following elements in this order:
- Essay in MLA format
- Length: 1 ½ to 2 pages
