The forensic mental health professional cannot be “just” a clinician or “just” a mental health professional. As a forensic mental health professional, you will often need to balance clinical considerations with correctional considerations. Therefore, awareness of how correctional realities and clinical issues interact is essential for success in the field.
Tasks:
Using at least three scholarly resources from the professional literature, research clinical and correctional considerations when treating offenders.
