I know of several childcare some are in home they may not be licensed but the children are very well taking care of ,The house is clean, and there are not an overwhelming amount of children. Most of the time in a in home child care the most you can keep without a licence is 6. Now in a childcare center they must be licensed you would want the to be NAEYC accredited and Quality Rated , as well as have background check and fingerprint check on employees. and follow rules about health and safety there normal hours are from 6:30am to 6:30 pm and they serves children from infant and toddlers to pre-school and pre K. It is important to have a quality childcare because you are taking care of someone child their most prize possession, so you need to have a quality childcare so that the parents will feel comfortable leaving their child. The cost for childcare can be very expensive for an infant it can range from 115 to one 190 a week and for a pre-schooler it can range from 120 to 165 a week, like I stated before that can expensive especially when you do not make that type of money, but need child care so you can work. And in some states they have assistance that may be able to help for example here in Georgia we have something call CAPs. That helps with some of the cost of childcare. they will pay a large portion of the tuition for you and you may have to pay 30 or 40 dollars a week, Which is a big help. Now Pre K here in Georgia is free and the hours are from 8:00 until 2:30. Now if the children still need care after 2:30 there is after care that can cost about 30 to 50 dollars a week Sometime this can be overwhelming but to get quality care for your child its worth it and sometimes those people who are taking care of your child become more like family. This can be a bit much especially to a young mother, But help is out there so do not give up. My to challenges are be affectionate to my child give them hugs and show them love you are already a stranger, but become someone they can trust and do not yell at my child there is away to communicate to my child what you want without yelling. And these Characteristics aligns with Authoritarian. I have always said that all 4 parent style work well together because there is a time a place for everything but when working when working with children especially children that are not yours leave your Authoritarian parenting at home. This is my last class before I receive my degree and it has really been a great class one of my favorites.
