The Sun produces energy through a process called nuclear fusion, which you have studied these past weeks. This produces energy through the process of creating helium from hydrogen. This is totally different from when we burn something like wood or oil. What is the fundamental difference.
Hint: Consider the mass of the inputs in each process and what happens to the mass as the energy is produced. Is mass conserved?
