This week we learned about the beginnings of the Protestant Reformation and the Church’s reactions. Without the Reformation, Christianity would still be one faith rather than many religions, so many people think it was a bad thing. Others point to the aspects of the Catholic faith, back when it was the only form of Christianity, that needed to be changed and say that the Reformation brought attention to these abuses and call it a good thing. Do you think it was good that the Protestant Reformation happened? Why or why not? |
